We only use selected high-quality leather skins for our pants, chaps and jackets. Even when choosing the raw hides, we make sure that the skins were only exposed to a few stresses such as insect bites, injuries, etc. These would negatively affect the grain of the tanned skin. When tanning the skin, it is important that this is done in Europe with approved chemicals. Cheap products usually contain toxic chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin. Since we don't wash our leather clothing and wear it on bare skin (and that's exactly what we think is awesome), this is an important criterion for our health. Our leather hardly leaves any color residues on the skin, even when you sweat heavily, because our leather tanneries only use selected dyes and thoroughly wash out excess color residues.
Our trouser leather has a thickness of 1.1-1.2 mm. Since this thickness is already referred to as upholstery leather in the industry, the special thing about our leather is that it is extremely soft despite its thickness. It therefore has a high elasticity and does not wear out the first time it is worn. The trousers adapt to your own figure through slow and careful day-to-day storage.
Our leather has a very fine-pored grain pattern, which gives it a great shine. Inferior leather hides usually have an artificial shine because they have been coated with a layer of paint or varnish. However, this has the disadvantage that the pores are closed and can no longer breathe. We use open-pored leather with a rich, squeaky grip. That's why our leather gives off a hot, animal smell. In addition, open-pored leather can absorb care products better than so-called covered leather. This means that our leather remains supple and soft for longer. Those who offer covered leather can process inferior hides because all the flaws and unevenness of the skin have been painted over. We only use fully dyed leather of the best quality.
